iPhone 15: Design
Apple introduced a new type of Dynamic Island notch on the iPhone 14 Pro last year. This year, there are three possible scenarios for its evolution.
The first option suggests completely removing the notch, with all sensors and cameras hidden under the screen. However, this possibility is unlikely due to the challenge of finding an ideal solution to accommodate a powerful camera and sensors with optimal responsiveness beneath the display. Previous attempts by other manufacturers have yielded less than satisfactory results.
The second option, which appears to be the most likely, involves retaining a small elliptical notch design. This approach has garnered support from numerous experts, including Ming-Chi Kuo, and has already been successfully implemented in the previous model.
A third option, though unlikely, involves relocating the sensors and camera as close to the speaker as possible, thereby creating a notch-free appearance for the iPhone. This concept draws inspiration from a design already employed in the iPad. Apple could achieve this by slightly increasing the thickness of the top frame and relocating all the necessary elements, including sensors, cameras, and the existing speaker in the iPhone 13.
Should we wait for new colors?
It is highly probable. Apple has established a commendable tradition of refreshing the color palette of the iPhone annually. It would be intriguing to witness the iPhone 15 Pro adorned in Antarctic Blue or the iPhone 15 in Dark Cherry. However, determining the exact color options for the iPhone 15 remains challenging.

USB-C for Pro versions only
There are three predictions regarding the port choice for the iPhone 15:

The second prediction proposes that Apple will equip the premium models with a USB-C port while removing ports from the base models.
The third prediction suggests that Apple will eliminate ports from all its new devices.
Both the first and third options are improbable due to the inclusion of ProRAW and ProRes capabilities in the premium versions of the iPhone. Transferring these large files, weighing 3-4 GB or more (in the case of ProRes), to a PC would be challenging without a port. It is impractical to rely solely on AirDrop to transfer such hefty files.
Therefore, our inclination leans toward the second option: Apple will likely provide the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with a USB-C port, while the base models may rely on MagSafe technology for charging.
Will the iPhone 15 have Touch ID?
According to insiders, there have been indications that upcoming iPhone models in 2022-2023 may incorporate Touch ID beneath the display. This addition would provide added convenience alongside Face ID. However, considering Apple’s potential efforts to relocate all the sensors within the new devices, it seems unlikely that they would opt for this approach.
It is possible that in 2023, Touch ID under the display could replace Face ID. This could coincide with the release of the iPhone Fold, justifying the need for such a replacement. With the ongoing decline of the pandemic and the growing number of individuals already using an Apple Watch to unlock their iPhones, Apple might not perceive the necessity for such an update.
iPhone 15: Camera
The camera of the iPhone 15 is poised to receive notable enhancements, including a 48MP primary camera module with a 10x periscope zoom. Additional upgrades will likely be made to the macro capabilities, film effects, and overall convenience of the primary camera.
The front camera, one of the most crucial elements of the iPhone, has remained unchanged for quite some time. Therefore, we anticipate improvements in the quality of front-facing photography. 8K recording capabilities may be added to the primary camera.
These advancements are made possible by the main iPhone assembly plant, which has acquired a unique technology enabling them to produce camera modules in-house rather than relying on pre-made modules from Samsung.

However, considering the improving situation with the pandemic, Apple might offer all models for pre-order simultaneously unless there are significant challenges related to component shortages.
