Warner Bros. will resume filming the new “Batman” in early September, they hope to shoot all the necessary material by the end of the year

Hollywood insiders reported that Warner Bros. decided to resume filming of the blockbuster “Batman” starring Robert Pattinson. Filming of the film began in the winter of this year and lasted for about seven weeks until they had to be interrupted in March due to quarantine restrictions associated with coronavirus.

Filming will begin in early September at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire, England. Sources familiar with the current situation indicate that the film team needs about three more months to shoot all the necessary scenes. Thus, if everything goes according to plan, then the shooting of “Batman” may have time to complete before the end of this year.

After the outbreak of the pandemic and delays in filming, Warner Bros. postponed the premiere of The Batman from June 25, 2021 to October 1, 2021. With filming complete by the end of the year, the team has enough time for post-production, so the October release date may well be final.

Note that Warner Bros. has already resumed filming the fantastic film The Matrix 4 in Berlin (Germany) and, according to rumors, is going to continue shooting the third part of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise in the UK in September …

Recall that the restart of the Batman franchise was entrusted to Matt Reeves, who wrote the script, and also acts as a director and producer. Prior to that, the author made the horror films Monstro (2008) and Let Me In. Saga “(2010), as well as two parts of” Planet of the Apes “-” Revolution “(2014) and” War “(2017). Instead of Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson (“Twilight”) was approved for the title role, who signed a contract for three films at once. In addition to this actor, Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon), Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman), Paul Dano (Riddler), Colin Farrell (Penguin), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth) and John Turturro (Carmine Falcone) will star in the film.

PS Filmmakers are starting to tease their works ahead of the DC Fandom event, for example, Matt Reeves posted the Batman logo and art:
