The GMC Hummer EV electric pickup is officially presented: three engines with a capacity of up to 1000 hp, a range of up to 560 km and a cost of $ 80,000 to $ 112,500.

General Motors finally unveiled the GMC Hummer EV electric pickup tonight with details on design, specs, cost and time to market.

The electric pickup will be available in four versions, which will hit the market annually starting next year. Hummer EV Standard Edition2 will receive two 625 hp Ultium Drive electric motors. and a torque of 7,400 lb-ft (10,033 Nm), a range of about 400 km (250+ miles). Its cost will be $ 79,995, but sales will start only in the spring of 2024.

The next most equipped version of the Hummer EV2X will receive a pair of electric motors similar in characteristics, but the range will be increased to 480 km (300+ miles), and the architecture has been transferred from 400 V to 800 V. In addition to the standard features of the initial version, this modification will receive support for CrabWalk and Extract Mode, as well as a suspension Adaptive Air Suspension. The cost of this version is $ 89,995, and the time to market is spring 2023.

EV option3X equipped with three electric motors with a total capacity of 800 hp. and with 9,500 lb-ft (12,880 Nm) of torque, enabling Torque Vectoring. The range has remained unchanged from the previous version – 480 km (300+ miles). Such a Hummer will be available in the fall of 2022 for $ 99,995.

And finally, the Hummer EV Edition 1 – three engines (1000 hp / 11,500 lb-ft / 15,600 Nm), 0-100 km / h in 3 seconds, range over 560 km (350+ miles), Extreme package Off-Road, Watts to Freedom mode, custom trim and support for 350 kW high-speed charging, which adds 160 km (100 miles) of travel in 10 minutes of charging. This version will hit the market in a year – in the fall of 2021 at a price of $ 112,595, but all the copies planned for production have already been sold out.

In three-engine versions, the pickup is equipped with one engine on the front axle (13.3: 1) with electronic differential lock, which allows transferring 100% of the torque to one of the front wheels in the event of slipping. A pair of motors on the rear axle (10.5: 1) are assembled into a single Ultium Drive module, but they provide independent drive for the rear wheels – a similar scheme allows realizing a full-fledged all-wheel drive with e4WD torque vectoring.

The Ultium battery (NCMA) with a wireless charge control system is assembled from separate modules, while, depending on the required capacity (up to 200 kWh), the modules can be installed vertically or horizontally (for example, the most advanced version of the Hummer EV Edition 1 uses 24 modules with vertical orientation of the elements, stacked in two rows).

Also worth noting is the adjustable Regen on Demand recuperation, Super Cruise automatic drive control, Extract Mode off-road (air suspension raises the pickup an additional 6 “/ 149 mm off-road, resulting in a ford up to 32” / 80 cm deep), reinforced underbody protection armor, UltraVision 360-degree video view, Infinity Room removable roof, single-pedal speed and braking, a pair of 13.4-inch and 12.3-inch displays with an interface based on the Unreal Engine, exclusive 22-inch discs with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT off-road tires, etc.
