Huawei is working on a new Watch Fit smartwatch, also codenamed Stia. Thanks to the leak, it became possible to get acquainted with the design and technical characteristics of this device.
According to available information, the Watch Fit smartwatch has an elongated 1.64-inch display. The device uses an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 456 × 280 pixels. The brightness of the image is adjusted using the ambient light sensor. The watch has an integrated accelerometer, barometer and GPS navigation module. The presence of a heart rate sensor is also reported.
The device is able to track physical activity, monitor the number of steps taken, sleep phases, heart rate, stress level. There are preset breathing exercises to deal with stress. The built-in battery provides up to 10 days of battery life. Declared 5ATM water resistance. The watch can be used in conjunction with smartphones running Android 5.0 or iOS 9.0 and newer.
According to preliminary data, the Huawei Watch Fit smartwatch will be presented in early September and will go on sale at a suggested retail price of € 119.
