Sony is not yet going to abandon the smartphone business and has presented a new model from the middle price segment. However, it’s hard to call the Xperia 8 Lite new – the device is almost a complete copy of the Xperia 10, presented at the beginning of last year. In fact, the only difference is the different main camera.
The Xperia 8 Lite features a 6-inch Full HD + LCD display with a 21: 9 aspect ratio. The hardware platform uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset. 4 GB of RAM is available, and 64 GB of built-in memory. There is a microSD card slot.
The main camera consists of a 12 MP module with an f / 1.8 aperture and an 8 MP sensor with an aperture of f / 2.4. Supports 2x optical zoom, as well as shooting in 21: 9 format. Front camera resolution – 8 MP (f / 2.0).
The built-in battery capacity is 2870 mAh. There are modules Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB-C port, fingerprint scanner. Declared protection against dust and moisture according to standards IPX5 / IPX8, IP6X.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite will be available in white and black. The smartphone will go on sale for about $ 280. Whether the device will be available outside of Japan is not yet known.
