Sony today presented an updated version of the compact flagship Xperia 5.
The smartphone received a 6.1 ″ OLED display with a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21: 9. Supported refresh rates up to 120 Hz, sensor polling rate is 240 Hz. Declared 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and support for HDR.
The Xperia 5 II is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G support. RAM is available 8 GB, built-in – 128 GB. There is a slot for microSD cards up to 1 TB.
The rear panel houses three 12MP camera modules. The main sensor has an f / 1.7 aperture and a focal length of 24 mm, a wide-angle sensor – f / 2.2 and 16 mm, respectively, an angle of view is 124 °, a telephoto lens offers an f / 2.4 aperture and a focal length of 70 mm. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP (f / 2.0).
The smartphone boasts stereo speakers, support for Hi-Res Audio (aptX HD and LDAC codecs) and Dolby Atmos, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh, 21W wired charging is supported. In addition, the device is equipped with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a fingerprint scanner (on the side), a hybrid SIM card slot. Declared moisture protection according to the IP65 / IP68 standard. The device is running Android 10.
Sony Xperia 5 II is available in black. The cost is 900 euros.
