Samsung has finally announced the launch date for its new flagship mobile processor. The company tweeted, “A brand new Exynos is coming.” The chipset presentation will take place on January 12, two days before the planned release of the Galaxy S21 flagships. The tweet is also accompanied by the hashtag #Exynos_is_back, suggesting performance improvements.

Although Samsung has yet to reveal the processor’s name, multiple leaks say it will be called the Exynos 2100. It is expected to be built using a new 5nm process with a 1 + 3 + 4 core arrangement. Mali will be responsible for the graphics in this chip. -G78.

Samsung’s new chip will compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888. The first Exynos 2100 will receive the flagships of the Samsung Galaxy S21 line.
