Samsung’s Find My Mobile feature is a handy tool that helps users find their lost smartphone. With the latest app update, this feature will now work on Galaxy devices that are not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular.
Offline finding will use the network information of nearby Galaxy devices. Thus, even if a lost smartphone cannot be found via a mobile or Wi-Fi network, nearby Galaxy devices can help determine its location.
If the Offline finding function is activated on the user’s smartphone, then his device will also be able to scan other devices that are in the range, thereby helping other people find their lost devices. In addition, this feature can help you find smartwatches or wireless headphones that have recently been used.
Offline finding is not enabled by default. It can be enabled (or disabled) in the settings and encrypt your offline location if you have privacy concerns.
