Following the announcement earlier this month, Rocksteady released the first trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and revealed the details of the project as part of the DC FanDome event.
The cinematic trailer introduces us to the world of the game but does not reflect the real graphics of the future game, since we are talking about a pre-renderer. In the video, members of the “Suicide Squad” in the person of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Boomerang, and King Shark lazily shoot monsters from the roof of one of the houses of dilapidated Metropolis. At the end of the video, an “evil” Superman appears, apparently enslaved by the evil will of Brainiac, whom the heroes will have to stop at any cost (judging by the name of the game, this is not the last member of the Justice League that Suicide Squad will have to deal with).
The developers describe Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as an “action-adventure shooter” with up to four players solo or co-op. Players are not tied to their characters and can at any time take control of another team member who was previously controlled by the AI.
Rocksteady also emphasized that the new game is not a separate product, but a continuation of the Batman Arkham franchise, on which the game studio worked before (the last game in the Batman: Arkham VR series was released in 2016).
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in 2022, the exact date has not yet been announced.
