On December 1, Qualcomm unveiled the new flagship Snapdragon 888 processor that will power the top smartphones of 2021.

Today, the chipmaker released the performance test results for their new processor.

Snapdragon 888 has passed the tests AnTuTu, GeekBench, GFXBench Aztec Normal and Manhattan 3.0, Ludashi AiMark, AITuTu, MLPerf and UL Procyon.

Let’s start with AnTuTu. Here the Snapdragon 888 scored 735,439 points, which is a record for the Snapdragon series. For comparison, the flagship Huawei Mate 40 Pro +, powered by the Snapdragon 865 chip, averages 698,654 points.

In the Geekbench test, the smartphone with Snapdragon 888 scored 1135 points in the single-core and 3794 points in multi-threaded mode. This is slightly better than the SD865, which scores 900 and 3400 points, respectively.

The Adreno 660 SD 888 GPU averaged 86 fps in the Aztec Ruins Vulcan benchmark and 169 fps in the Manhattan 3.0 benchmark. This result beats the Snapdragon 865+, which produced 133 frames per second on Manhattan 3.0.

Recall that the first smartphone with Snapdragon 888 will be Xiaomi Mi 11. Its presentation will take place either on December 28 or early January.
