During the Oppo Inno Day conference, the Chinese company shared several more original products and concepts that may see the light of day in the not too distant future.
In addition to the previously shown foldable display smartphone concept, Oppo has shown another similar development. If, in the previous case, the display changed in height, then the Oppo X 2021 concept already provides for the unfolding of the screen in width.
In its normal state, the device offers the user a tall 6.7-inch OLED display. But in some usage scenarios, the display can be expanded to a 7.4-inch diagonal, making the device more like a tablet.
Oppo says it has developed its own motion transmission system, structural plate, and screen coating to ensure the device’s durability.

Another concept shown at Oppo Inno Day is the Oppo AR Glass 2021 augmented reality headset. The company claims that the new version is about 75% lighter than its predecessor (a concept shown at Oppo Inno Day last year).
The device includes a birdbath optical system with 0.71-inch OLED panels, stereo cameras with ultra-wide-angle fisheye lenses (for gesture recognition), a ToF sensor, and a regular RGB camera. The headset can be connected to Find X2 Pro via the USB-C port and use the smartphone’s more powerful hardware resources.
