OnePlus decided to clarify which smartphone owners should wait for the firmware that will update their devices to Android 11. Let me remind you that today the OnePlus 8T model comes out of the box with Android 11 and the proprietary shell Oxygen OS 11, and the OnePlus 8/8 Pro has already received the corresponding update.
Next week, OnePlus Nord will begin receiving the first open beta versions of Oxygen OS 11. After the developers receive user feedback, they will fix existing bugs and release a stable firmware.
For models of the OnePlus 7 / 7T series, a closed beta test of Oxygen OS 11 is already underway. The company has encountered certain difficulties in porting the firmware, so the timing has shifted a little. However, an open beta test should start soon.
Owners of the OnePlus 6 / 6T and Nord 10 5G / Nord 100 will also be able to count on the upgrade to Oxygen OS 11. However, the exact time frame for them has not yet been specified.
