Web resource VideoCardz published the performance tests of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, which is expected to be released on December 2. It is reported that NVIDIA itself has shared a slide from the upcoming presentation with the press.
As you can see in the slide below, the new product’s performance is 1.4 times higher than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 2060 Super. Moreover, in most cases, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti bypasses even the GeForce RTX 2080 Super. We still have to wait to release detailed independent reviews with a more objective assessment, but in general, NVIDIA’s assessment is beyond doubt.
The RTX 3060 Ti basis is a stripped-down NVIDIA GA104 crystal, in its configuration with 4864 CUDA cores, 152 tensor cores, and 38 RT cores. The base GPU frequency is 1410 MHz, and the Boost frequency is 1665 MHz. In terms of memory characteristics, the RTX 3060 Ti repeats the RTX 3070, which also uses a stripped-down GA104 crystal: it received 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with an effective frequency of 14 GHz, connected to a GPU with a 256-slot bus (bandwidth is 448 GB / s) and a TGP of 180 watts.
The main trump card of the RTX 3060 Ti will be the relatively low price – $ 400 for the US market. It is important to emphasize that this is a price excluding mandatory taxes and retail store surcharges. In Ukrainian stores, as usual, the card will be sold at a higher price.

The first RTX 3060 Ti cards have already started arriving in stores. Actually, PCMasterRace posted a photo of the ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF variant (in the title image) with a massive three-fan cooler, which will probably also stand out with its factory overclocking.
