Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities and known for his accurate predictions about Apple’s new products, has expanded his original prophecy about changes in the 2021 MacBook Pro.
In a fresh note from Min-Chi, Kuo approves that the 2021 MacBook Pro will regain the HDMI connector and SD card reader that Apple ditched a couple of years ago in favor of USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 3). According to Kuo, Taiwan-based Genesys Logic will be the exclusive supplier of SD card readers for the 2021 MacBook Pro. The analyst is also convinced that the new MacBook Pro will be released in the second half of the year.
Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the 2021 MacBook Pro would come in two sizes with a screen diagonal of 14 and 16 inches, receive a major redesign, mini-LED backlit displays, and a magnetic MagSafe charging port.
The MacBook Pro 14 “and MacBook Pro 16” are expected to be based on the Apple M1X ARM processor.
