A member of the MacRumors forum recently leaked information suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models may replace the conventional Ring/Silence switch with a customizable Action button, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. While details on how the Action button will function remain unclear, it is anticipated that it will enable users to access various system functions easily.
Possible features controlled by pressing the Action button include do not disturb mode, flashlight, low power mode, light/dark mode, and more. In addition to the Action button, the iPhone 15 Pro models are rumored to have a separate volume button that can adjust the volume up and down. Both buttons are expected to have a solid-state design that offers haptic feedback to simulate movement, similar to the Home button on the iPhone 7 and the latest iPhone SE.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 series in September, with the changes rumored to affect only the Pro models. The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are expected to retain the off switch and two volume buttons.
