Kuo’s latest note highlights two potential risks that camera lens vendors may encounter. Firstly, high inventory levels could result in a weaker second quarter of this year than expected, and secondly, suppliers may not be able to generate profits from periscope camera lenses.
Kuo states that Largan’s average selling price for periscope camera lenses is roughly $4, which is lower than the market consensus of $4.50 to $5 or higher. This suggests that Largan may not make a profit from Periscope camera lenses.
Kuo also predicts that the same or a similar periscope lens utilized in the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be employed in both iPhone 16 Pro models in 2024.
