Official renders of the new iPhone and HomePod mini speakers, which Apple will show at tonight’s presentation, have been posted on Twitter by well-known insider Evan Blass. The insider finally killed all the intrigue – the renders he published, which are clearly borrowed from official advertising materials, confirm the design of the new generation of Apple smartphones.
Evan Blass confirms four models will debut within the iPhone 12 lineup – the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max … He also confirms that they will be called the new Apple smartphones that way.
These renders are fully in line with previous leaks, showing a redesigned design with a distinctive bangs in the screen and the main camera in a square box in the upper left corner of the rear panel. And while there are no side-view images, there is little doubt about previous leaks pointing to flat edges like the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models.
Insider-provided images confirm the iPhone 12’s color palette, including a new blue (replacing last year’s Midnight Green). In addition, they allow you to examine in detail the layout of the main camera of older Pro versions with a LIDAR scanner (in the lower right corner).
Finally, there is also a render of a new mini-model – the iPhone 12 Mini. According to preliminary data, with a screen diagonal of 5.4 inches, the iPhone 12 Mini will become the most compact Apple smartphone since the iPhone 5. That is, thanks to the thin bezels, the novelty should be more compact than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and, therefore, the current iPhone SE 2020.
What is noteworthy, visually, the frames of the older iPhone 12 Pro models look thinner than that of the base iPhone 12, which is predicted to have the highest demand.
Apple’s Hi, Speed event, which will show the iPhone 12 and a mini version of HomePod, starts at 20:00 Kiev time.
