The California Start-Up Has Introduced The Elation Freedom Electric Hypercar With A Capacity Of 1900 Hp, A Maximum Speed Of 420 Km / H, A Cruising Range Of 640 Km And A Price Tag Of $ 2 Million.

Elation Hypercars, a young American startup from California, has decided to challenge the European electric hypercar maker Rimac with its own version of a similar model called Elation Freedom.

The model is assembled based on a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque (weight starts at 1650 kg, which is quite small for a battery car) and can be equipped with three or four electric motors. In the first case, the propulsion system’s total power is 1040 kW (1427 hp), in the second – 1400 kW (1903 hp), while in both cases, four-wheel drive with torque vectoring is implemented.

As a result, the electric car accelerates to 420 km / h (260 mph), gaining the first 100 km / h in just 1.8 seconds. The base battery with a capacity of 100 kWh provides a range of 480 km (300 miles), the enhanced module for 120 kWh – 640 km (400 miles).

Developers of the Elation Freedom hypercar took inspiration from racing cars, so the design uses solutions typical of sports cars. For example, the advanced suspension and active aerodynamics allow cornering with 2G lateral acceleration, and the gull-wing doors make it easier to get into the cabin. The two-seater cabin is finished in leather, carbon fiber, metal, and precious stones, while the creators pay special attention to the personalization and selection process of all interior details.

Significantly, for petrolheads, the company also offers an ICE version of a model called the Elation Freedom Iconic Collection, equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 petrol engine with 750 hp. (552, kW). By eliminating batteries and four electric motors, this version’s weight has been reduced to 1300 kg.

Car developers are already accepting pre-orders, with the Elation Freedom’s electric version starting at $ 2 million and the gasoline version of the Elation Freedom Iconic Collection at $ 2.3 million.
