Hey everyone! Welcome back to techrechard.com.
Recently, I’ve been receiving numerous questions about how to upgrade from Windows 11 24H2 to the new 25H2 version. If you’ve checked Windows Update and can’t find the option, you’re not alone.
The good news is, there’s a simple way to get it. This guide will show you how to force the Windows 11 25H2 update in just a few minutes.
Why Can’t I See the Update?
Microsoft rolls out major updates gradually. This means your PC may not receive the update for a few weeks. The method below tricks your system into seeing and installing the update immediately.
Before You Begin: Check Your Current Version
First, let’s confirm you’re on Windows 11 24H2.
- Press the Windows Key + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > About.
- Under Windows specifications, you should see Version 24H2.

If that’s you, you’re in the right place! Let’s get you upgraded.
Step-by-Step Guide to Get Windows 11 25H2
Step 1: Download the “Enablement Package”
This is the key. A small file from Microsoft will tell your system to enable the 25H2 update.
First, you need to choose the correct link for your computer’s processor:
- For most PCs (Intel or AMD processors): Use the link below.
- For ARM devices (like PCs with Apple M-series chips): Use the second link.
Download Links:
- 👉 For Intel/AMD (x64): Click here to download
- 👉 For ARM64: Click here to download
Click the correct link for your system. Your browser will download a very small file (around 171 KB) called a .msu file.

Step 2: Install the Package
- Open your Downloads folder.
- Find the file you just downloaded (it will have a name like
windows11.0-kb5054156...msu). - Double-click the file to run it.
- A security window may pop up. Click “Yes” to confirm that you want to install the update.

The installation only takes a few seconds.
Step 3: Restart Your PC
Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Click Restart now.
Your PC will shut down and boot back up. This may take a little longer than a usual restart as the new version is finalized.

You’re Done!
After your PC restarts, let’s verify the upgrade was successful.
- Press the Windows Key + I to reopen Settings.
- Go to System > About.
- You should now see Version 25H2 under Windows specifications!

Now, if you go to Windows Update, your system will officially recognize the 25H2 version and will begin downloading any subsequent feature updates and security patches for it.
A Quick Note: Remember, Microsoft releases new features gradually, even after you're on the 25H2 update. So, don't worry if you don't see all the new features immediately—they will be rolled out through Windows Update over time.

What If My PC Doesn’t Support 25H2?
If your PC is older and doesn’t meet the official requirements (like TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot), you can still install Windows 11 25H2 by creating a bootable USB installer.
This method bypasses the strict hardware checks. I have a detailed video guide that walks you through the entire process.
