Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies have been forced to switch to remote employment to ensure employees’ safety. However, Google is already considering a hybrid model that allows workers to spend at least three days in the office and work from home the rest of the time.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent employees an email in which he told about the company’s plans to test flexible hours that will allow them to return to their jobs safely. However, the full return of workers to offices has been postponed from July to September next year.

“We are testing the hypothesis that an agile work model will lead to increased productivity, collaboration, and well-being. No company of this size has ever used a fully hybrid working model – although some are starting to test it – so it will be interesting to try, ”said Sundar Pichai.

Let me remind you that Google was one of the first companies to start transferring employees to remote work in March this year.
