But the first smartphone to receive it may be a device not from the Galaxy line, but a model from the Vivo brand. Now it has become known that Samsung plans to supply Exynos chips to more Chinese manufacturers next year.
In particular, we are talking about the fact that Samsung is in talks with Xiaomi and Oppo regarding the release of budget smartphones with Exynos chipsets in the first half of 2021. At the moment, the only Chinese manufacturer Samsung is supplying the chips to is Vivo. Exynos 980 is installed in Vivo X30 and S6 5G models.
According to information Business Korea, Xiaomi and Oppo are interested in buying Samsung chips in light of their growing presence in the US market. Koreans, in turn, want to increase their own influence in the global smartphone market.
