Apple has recently launched the third developer betas for tvOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5. The company continues the latest testing round and allows developers to install the new updates through the Apple Developer Center. After its developer counterparts are out, Apple releases public betas through its Beta Program.
The third beta of watchOS 9.5 comes with a build number of 20T5549e, replacing the second beta’s 20T5538d. On the other hand, tvOS 16.5 and HomePod’s new build number is 20L5549e, not 20L5538d.
However, despite being in the third round of testing, Apple has not shared any information about the changes or new features being added to the latest operating systems.
Apple advises users not to install beta operating systems or other beta software on mainstream or mission-critical devices, as there is a slight chance of problems leading to data loss. The testers should instead use non-essential hardware and always have enough backups of their critical data.
In its previous update, the watchOS 9.4 release, Apple had added the history of AFib in some countries such as Colombia, Malaysia, Moldova, Thailand, and Ukraine. It has also made some adjustments to the alarms so that the “cover to mute” gesture doesn’t turn them off.
