Apple continues progressing on iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, releasing the sixth beta variant to developers yesterday. The newest version of each operating system was released only a week after the fifth beta variant was available.
You can download iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 Beta 6 to your iPhone/iPad via Settings > General > Software Update.
However, the update will only be available if your iPhone or iPad has a developer profile or is in a public beta program. You could directly download iOS 16 Beta 6 from several sites, but Apple Cracks Down on Websites Sharing iOS 16 Developer Beta.
As the new iOS 16 beta enters its testing phase, it is best to install on a dev device only. Bugs have already been fixed, and we recommend installing beta versions of the system only on your secondary gadgets.
It’s important to note that the iOS 16 version is only available for the iPhone 8 and newer models. This year, Apple removed support for the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus.
With iOS 16, you’ll enjoy a new lock screen, the possibility to share your photos in iCloud, and other minor changes. The current fifth beta version of iOS 16 also includes a battery percentage display on iPhone models. Let’s see what’s new in the latest version of the iOS 16 beta.
Apple has also released new sixth beta versions of watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and macOS 13.
