Previously, smart highlighting already skillfully perform various actions with the text: call a number, translate an unknown phrase, or find an address on maps. Foreign publications reported the addition of a new user option.
Now it will also translate the various physical quantities highlighted in the text—for example, miles to kilometers or dollars to rubles.
Android Police noticed that when selecting text on Android devices, a pop-up prompts you to convert the value.
Using the option, you can convert currencies, volumes, distances, weights, and many other values. By the way, this works in any application. To perform the translation, the Google program will open, where the user chooses, and they will be offered to choose which unit the specified value should be converted into.
So far, we don’t know if all users have this feature.
