Apple introduced a new version of macOS Ventura at the WWDC 2022 conference. Consider the main innovations of macOS 13.
What’s New in macOS Ventura!
The new operating system macOS 13 has received several new features. Let’s take a quick look at them.
Before we proceed further, here is how you can Download macOS Ventura DMG File for Clean Installation (macOS 13).
Apple has decided to provide users with a new way to multitask. A unique feature called Stage Manager is available in Control Center and helps you focus on working with a specific application. When enabled, Stage Manager maintains focus on the active application, automatically placing the windows of other applications on the left side of the screen in a three-dimensional panel.
You can switch to another app, and it will get focused when you send the previous app to the side. The demo video shows how users can group multiple apps by dragging and dropping them into the main app on the screen. Apps that have numerous windows open will appear as a stack, and you’ll be able to switch between them easily. Clicking on the desktop minimizes all applications to the side, allowing you to access files and folders on the desktop.
The built-in search tool in macOS Ventura now supports previewing. When searching for a file, press the spacebar to view the content directly in Spotlight. Users can now search for files and photos stored on their Mac and online. Spotlight can also detect Live Text inside images (OCR). You can use it to create tasks such as timers.
You can use Spotlight on macOS Ventura to get information about movies, music, sports, TV shows, and businesses, and the results are displayed in the search app window.
Spotlight will be available on iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 right from the home screen.
The Mail app in macOS Ventura now supports unsending to cancel an email you may have accidentally sent to contact quickly.
The email client also receives a scheduled send feature (Send Later), which allows you to schedule a shipment at a specific time.
The Mail app will display suggestions for emails that haven’t been replied to. The Remind Me option will alert you to the message at a later time of your choice.
You can also Download macOS 13 Ventura Wallpapers in HD.
The search bar in the Mail app will show recently published documents, links, and search results. The application will output suggestions as you type, and in case of typos, it will ignore the error and show the result for the correct spelling. Search improvements in the Mail app are also available for iOS and iPadOS.
Apple Safari will be able to share groups of tabs with family, friends, and colleagues using common groups of tabs. Users can collaborate in real-time to see which tabs are being used by other members. Messaging and Facetime are also supported.
Another new feature in Safari is Passkeys. This is a development of Apple’s idea of a passwordless system that allows users to create logins using biometric authentication parameters: TouchID (fingerprint) and FaceID (face recognition). Passkeys creates a unique digital key associated with a specific account. The Cupertino-based company claims that this is the most secure login system, as it cannot be forged or stolen like regular passwords. Access keys will work in apps, on websites, and when you sync with your keychain. Passkeys supports Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
Apple says it has worked with members of the FIDO Alliance, including Google and Microsoft, to help create cross-platform experiences. You’ll be able to sign in on a non-Apple device using your iPhone.
Improvements for gamers
macOS Ventura offers developers hardware-accelerated Metal 3 graphics. Supports MetalFX scaling for realistic and immersive graphics with maximum performance. The company has confirmed that AAA-level games like No Man’s Sky and Resident Evil Village will be coming to Apple Silicon with MetalFX Upscaling technology. In addition, the new Fast Resource Loading API will help speed up the loading of games.

Continuity mode gets new features in macOS Ventura. It now supports the Handoff feature for FaceTime, which can recognize when your iPhone is nearby and allows you to toggle a call to your Mac.
The Continuity Camera feature allows you to use your iPhone as a webcam. You need to attach your smartphone to your Mac’s screen with an adapter. There are several different modes you can enable to improve the quality of video calls. The Center Stage function keeps the subject in focus by moving the camera as it moves.
In portrait mode, the background will blur, and in low-light conditions, the face will lighten, and the background will darken. The Desk View feature can use your iPhone’s wide-angle lens to create an additional viewing mode that focuses the camera (such as the camera above your head) on the contents of your desk. The new Continuity features will also be available in other apps such as Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.
The application “System Settings” received an updated interface. Instead of an icon-based interface, there is now a sidebar with various tabs.
Users with an Apple developer account can download the beta version of macOS Ventura and install it on their computer. But it’s worth noting that there are still a lot of bugs in the current build, so it’s not a good idea to try it on your primary Mac.
